Cotton is a breathable fabric, so this is the best choice to have close to the vaginal area. Polyester and synthetic fibers suffocate and heat the area, so try to avoid clothes and underwear made of these fibers. If you are worried about showing a panty line, try skipping the underwear altogether.There are many causes of why candidiasis comes back, it can be due to your diet, the types of clothes you wear or maybe even your medication.
For example, vaginal yeast infections occur in women when protective bacteria are eradicated by antibiotics such that the quantity of yeast present in the vagina becomes greater than the quantity of normal bacteria. The yeast then multiplies and invades tissues that cause irritation of the lining of the vagina.
Women that are either diabetic, pregnant or are taking oral contraceptives can also develop vaginal yeast infections. Likewise, women that use douches or perfumed vaginal hygiene sprays may increase risk of developing a vaginal yeast infection.
Eating food with excessive carbohydrates and sugar. It is unclear how this can upset the balance of the body's bacteria and yeast. However, there are studies that link excessive intake of these kinds of food to yeast infection. Anyway, it is also healthy to avoid excessive intake of sugary foods just so we can avoid diabetes.
